Tickets were great. We made full use of them for the 3 days we were there. The ticket quality was very poor (paper ticket with mag stripe) easy to get folded and often woudn't work for which we would have to get it replaced by the ticket attendant (as the mag stripe would lose its encoding.)

You're right, we keep telling them that it would be time for a move with a more recent technology? It will happen one day, can't tell you when! Thank you Tushaar.

The envelope containg the metro pass wass delivered to our hotel but because there was no identifying name on the envelope they did not know who it belonged to. The gentleman at the desk had to make 7 phone calls before finding the envelope and opening it. Our name was on the envelope inside.

Reply from Concierges Desk

Too bad, they simply didn't read a big red label on the envelope that says 'Please open on reception, contains an envelope to give to a customer'. We've been the first back in 1997 to offer such service and we can tell you that we've been through some "wild" situation with some hotels but now, 18 years later, we can say that hotels are taking good care of customer's envelopes. Thank you.

Your service of having the passes at our hotel upon arrival is fantastic. We just opened the packet reviewed the map and went out right away sightseeing. For those visiting Paris the zone 3 pass worked very well for us. We did not have to pay any extra to see anything we wanted to with the 3 day 3 zone pass. We did not visit Versailles on this trip so not sure if the zone 3 would cover that trip, but if you ask questions on the site they are very quick at getting back to you with answers before purchasing. I would use them again. If you are visiting many sights you may want to opt for the Paris Museum Pass too. We did not need it on our trip as it would not have been financially beneficial.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Question: Can I buy them directly at the pickup location?
  • Answer: No, you must place your order online at JustRing first to be able to pickup your passes there. That's the only way to manage passes stocks and be ready for your visit with service efficiency in mind.

  • QuestionHow can I use the Paris metro pass for airport transfer?
  • Answer: Yes, BUT you must know that this is not convenient at all if you have a lot of luggage: We've seen people stuck in the metro because they could not get their luggage through turnstiles. You may wish to take Paris shuttle instead and order 1 to 3 zones passes.

  • QuestionAre Versailles castle, the airports, and Disneyland included in 5 zone passes?
  • Answer: Absolutely, all these destinations are located within the 5 zone area.

  • QuestionWhat if I only need to get to Versailles during my stay?
  • Answer: Then the round trip RER Paris to Versailles ticket is the perfect add-on to a 3 zones passes.

  • QuestionWhat are the advantages of ordering passes online?
  • Answer: First, reduce stress and don't waste your time, most metro station employees do not speak English and a lot of stations do not have any staff but machines that do not sell those passes. Second, the passes are available for you at the pickup location close to the Eiffel tower. Third, you get unlimited free access to French lessons and discounts at some venues (see details below), voila!

  • QuestionCan I use a three-day pass on Monday, then again on Thursday?
  • Answer: No, Paris metro pass is valid for consecutive days only, beginning with the first day you use them (not from the date of purchase or delivery), they don't have dates printed on them. For example, if you start to use them at 5:00 PM then first day of usage will end at midnightnot next day at 5:00 PM.

  • QuestionWhat else comes along with the passes?
  • Answer: A free Paris street/metro/bus map is included, unlimited free access to French lessons from your account and the following discounts showing your metro pass:

    - Quai Branly-Chirac Museum: -3€ off permanent exhibition and -2€ off audioguide
    - Arc de Triomphe: 25% off entrance ticket and 5% off on boutique items
