Andorra is in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains, between Spain and France.  It is the sixth smallest nation in Europe, having an area of 468 km2 (181 sq mi) and an estimated population of 85,000 in 2012. Its capital, Andorra la Vella, is the highest capital city in Europe, at an elevation of 1,023 metres (3,356 ft) above sea level. The official language is Catalan, although Spanish, Portuguese, English and French are also commonly spoken.

Known internationally for its ski resorts, stops with very low taxes and its modern hotel and service infrastructures, each year the country receives nearly 8 million visitors.

Given its relative isolation, Andorra has existed outside the mainstream of European history, with few ties to countries other than France, Spain and Portugal. In recent times, however, its thriving tourist industry along with developments in transport and communications have removed the country from its isolation. Its political system was modernized in 1993, when it became a member of the United Nations and the Council of Europe.

As we commented earlier, this is a great country for skiing. The most important ski resorts are covered by 2 big names in the skiing business, well known in Spain and France, now also worldwide, because of several Ski and Snowboard World Cups managed by these ski resorts.

is a resort located in Andorra which covers the skiable areas of two of Andorra’s seven “parishes” (or provinces). Grandvalira, unifies 6 ski resorts: Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Cortals & Soldeu, El tarter and Canillo.

It was founded back in 2003 when two of the Pyrenees’ oldest resorts, Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig (founded in 1956) and Soldeu-El Tarter (founded in 1964), joined together. This fusion gave rise to the largest resort in the Pyrenees and one of the largest in Europe with 210 km of ski run spread over a total of 118 slopes of all different levels, and the creation of one single forfait to enjoy all of the skiable territory.

Vallnord is a ski/snowboard resort in the Pyrenees mountains in the country of Andorra, close to the border with Spain at Tor, Pallars. Vallnord unifies 3 ski resorts: Pal, Arinsal and Arcalis, the “mecca” of freeride in Andorra.

It encompasses the linked sectors of Pal and Arinsal (the sectors were linked by a cable car, opened in 2005, from the top of the Arinsal sector) and the Ordino-Arcalis sector some kilometres away.

All the separate sectors within Vallnord contain green, blue, red and black rated runs as well as restaurants and ski schools.
Arinsal is particularly popular with British and Irish tourists, while the Arcalis sector is popular with locals at the weekend.

Andorra is also a paradise for nature lovers: 90% of the country is forest. Another very nice place to visit is Naturlandia which is a multiactivities and leisure center from La Rabassa, Andorra. This initiative, inaugurated in 2007, the common Sant Julia de Loria to boost the snowfields of La Rabassa, the only ski resort in the principality and background that looked underused as only used during ski season and also this type of skiing is not as in demand as downhill skiing.

Naturlandia is located at an altitude between 1,960 and 2,160 m with a height of 200 meters.

So this is a little bit of our country, where we give service to more than 110 countries from around the world. Maybe you can come one day and say hi!.
