Bernard Buffet Exhibition ending March 5th, 2017
Through around 100 works of art, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris offers the public the opportunity to (re)discover the work of Bernard Buffet, one of the most popular figures of French painting in the 20th century. A prolific artist of a sombre geometric world, his work receives relatively little publicity.
The exhibition seeks to depict his development as an artist and is enriched by archive documents relating the media’s view of the painter’s work, from successful to critical periods.
